Lessons

All students will receive two 45-minute lessons a week.

Masterclasses and lectures

Our esteemed faculty and guest Artists who are leading performing artists, concertmasters, pedagogues and chamber musicians will give masterclasses and lectures, bringing their own experience on and off stage to enrich our students from multiple dimensions.

Excerpt/Repertoire Class

Learn methods of practicing for auditions and the common performance practices of different orchestral repertoire and popular excerpts by Nathan Cole, First Associate Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Technique Class

Get a comprehensive overview of different techniques used in violin performance and learn to improve your technical tools quickly and efficiently. Technique classes will be led by our faculty each morning for thirty minutes, Monday through Friday.

Public Speaking/Presentation Forum

Students will learn to communicate effortlessly and instantly connect with the audience members. The forum will focus on ways to develop public speaking and presence on stage. The program offers a class by Debbie Devine, an award-winning theatre director and the chair of the drama department of the Colburn School.
