Age requirements:
No age limit, must be 14 to be a residential student
Audition repertoire:
A video of the first movement of a major/standard concerto or a piece of equivalent length and difficulty.
Costs
- Nonrefundable application fee: $40 (to be applied towards the registration fee if accepted)
- Registration fee for residential students (tuition, room and board) due on April 29: $2,550*
- Commuter/non-residential fee due on April 29: $2,000
* Residential students will be required to be fully-vaccinated (and boosted, if eligible).
Tuition and Fees:
The tuition is $300 per student which includes full access to all the events outside private lessons. Private lesson fees will be decided by the assigned teacher, and the payment will be made directly to the student’s assigned teacher. The frequency of the private lesson will be discussed and decided between the teacher and the student.
Students are able to apply for their choice of the faculty Artists, however there is no guarantee of a spot; the student then may be placed in a different studio if the particular faculty artist’s studio has been filled. Students will be notified whether they have been accepted to the Academy by May 27th. Students have the chance to accept or decline to participate before the tuition is required by May 29th, 2020.
Other requirements:
All events and classes will be held on Zoom and access to high-speed internet (WiFi or ethernet), a microphone and a webcam is required. (External microphones are preferred.) Private lessons may be offered on different platforms, including FaceTime or Skype.
