Stefan Jackiw
Stefan Jackiw is one of America’s foremost violinists, captivating audiences with playing that combines poetry and purity with an impeccable technique. Hailed for playing of "uncommon musical substance" that is “striking for its intelligence and sensitivity” (Boston Globe), Jackiw has appeared as soloist with the Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco symphony orchestras, among others. Jackiw also regularly performs in Europe and Asia, and has appeared with the London Philharmonic, the Russian National Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony, and the Seoul Philharmonic.
Jackiw is also a committed teacher. He has given masterclasses at numerous schools, including The Colburn School, Harvard University, University of Michigan, Manhattan School of Music, Bard College, Vanderbilt University, New York University, Sydney Conservatorium, Australian National Academy of Music, among others, and at festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Eastern Music Festival, Center Stage Strings, among others. He also maintains a private studio in New York City.
Jackiw holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, as well as an Artist Diploma from the New England Conservatory, where he studied with Donald Weilerstein.
